His performance hosting the new X Factor USA show was roundly savaged by critics.
But Steve Jones is attempting to put the disappointment reviews behind him, and sought comfort in the arms of a fellow Brit, Keeley Hazell, yesterday afternoon.
The 34-year-old presenter, who has previously dated Pamela Anderson and Hayden Panettiere, was photographed with glamour model Keeley after enjoying an afternoon at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Jones, wearing a pink shirt and jeans, attempted to go incognito as he bought the Trojan condoms before driving to pick Keeley up from the house she is renting in Los Angeles.
The pair then made their way to the hotel for an afternoon of passion, before leaving smiling widely after a couple of hours.
Keeley, who had previously been romantically linked to stars including David Walliams, has been in LA pursuing her acting dream.
While Keeley is undoubtedly most famous for her glamour modelling, she is beginning to make a name for herself in the movie industry.

She starred in the short film Venus and the Sun, a comedy retelling of Ovid's Venus and Adonis, before appearing in Sundance Film Festival prize-winning movie Like Crazy.
Talking about her acting dream recently, Keeley said: 'I had a desire as a child and once I started modelling I was like "this is great, now I have the opportunity to maybe go into it and study".
'So as soon as I started modelling I thought "yes, I’m gonna do this and fulfill the childhood dream".'

Meanwhile, Steve is hitting the big time hosting the new TV talent show X Factor USA.
Talking about the FOX show at last week's premiere, he said: 'The reaction in there was great - it was what we were hoping for. So that on a big scale makes me very, very excited.
'There's been a lot of buzz about the show for an eternity. But there was definitely an air before the screening in the theater of people thinking, "OK, we've heard the buzz. Now show us what you've got." And I think we delivered, in my humble opinion.'

However, many critics didn't agree with Jones, describing his performance as 'utterly irrelevant'.
The Boston Herald's Mark A Perigard added that Jones 'is so far in the background, he might as well be on another network.'
Simon Cowell courted him but Steve then had to endure 'jumping through hoops,'
passing muster with Fox and the show's other producers before officially landing the role.

He let other offers slide while he waited for X Factor, the one he wanted.
'I really rolled the dice,' says Jones.
He was initially set to co-host the show with Pussycat Doll star Nicole Scherzinger, however she was bumped up onto the judging panel after Cheryl Cole was sacked.
