Apology: George Lopez has said sorry for comparing Kirstie Alley to a pig in a series of cruel jokes


Kirstie Alley has rejected George Lopez's apology after he compared her to a pig in a series of insults on his late night show.

The US chat show host wrote on his Twitter page last night: 'I misjudged the joke. No malice was intended and I apologise to Kirstie.'

He had made the cruel jokes about the 60-year-old based on her Monday night performance on Dancing With The Stars.

He had said: 'She did a nice job, her little hooves tapping away.

Response: Alley sent Lopez a tweet that referenced his former wife of 17 years Ann, who donated a kidney to him in 2005


'Before the show she went to the market, then she had roast beef, and this is her going all the way home.'

Lopez then showed a video of a pig squealing from the U.S. Geico insurance ad.

But Alley has since rejected his apology.

She tweeted today: 'I don't consider "I misjudged the joke" an apology. sort of like a husband saying, "I misjudged putting my d*** in a whore" ...sorry hon..hehe.'

Alley also tweeted a response with a reference to his former wife of 17 years Ann, who donated a kidney to him in 2005.

She added: '@georgelopez I don't need or want ur apology...I want your kidney dude..on behalf of ur X and all the women you have insulted...give it back.'

In another tweet, she wrote: 'Don't worry about George's comments...just remember what happens to the big bad, drunk woolf...falls in a boiling pot of vodka. Piggy laughs.'

Kirstie has made no secret of her battle with the bulge and even poked fun at herself on the short-lived TV series, Fat Actress.

The yo-yo dieter, who is a former Jenny Craig spokesperson, has pledged to lose 30lbs during her time on the show.

And it seems she's well on her way.

Kirstie, who was back to rehearsals yesterday, tweeted after the show: 'Had lost 60 lbs before DWTS... Haven't weighed in three weeks but sure I've lost over 10 more.'

The actress was the surprise star as the 12th season kicked off, stunning audiences with a spectacular performance that placed her in second position with 23 points.

Accompanied by her partner Maskim Chmerkovskiy, she sashayed her way around the floor in a tight fitting sequin gown.

The judges were stunned by her performance.

'Your foot placement was the best of the night,' Bruno Tonioli told her excitedly.

'Unbelievable - it had sizzle,' Carrie Ann Inaba told her with Len Wiseman saying, 'It was fun it was cheeky and it made me feel good.'
