What's wrong with your face, Sandra? Ms Bullock shows off an unusual lump on her jaw

By Daily Mail Reporter

Injured: Sandra Bullock shows off a swollen jaw as she leaves her house in New York yesterday

She has made the People Magazine's 50 most beautiful people list twice.

But Sandra Bullock looked less than attractive as she left her home in New York yesterday to run a few errands.

In fact the 46-year-old Oscar winning actress was sporting a rather unusual lump on the right hand side of her face as she made the dash out of her West Village townhouse.

Wearing jeans with a black puffer jacket and a black hat pulled down low over her face, the actress appeared to be trying to go incognito.

The weird looking lump could, however, be due to extra tension in Sandra's face and she appears to be gritting her teeth.

The star has looked increasingly stressed in recent months juggling work commitments and motherhood.

Sandra is temporarily away from her home in Austin, Texas, to film new movie Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close in the city.

Unhappy: The Blindside star appeared tense as she headed out to run errands

She was on set last week looking very office smart if somewhat dowdy in a khaki two piece suit and heels as she's had something of a make-under for her role in the movie, including a rather nondescript new frizzy hairstyle.

But when she isn't filming her focus is on her 15-month-old adopted sou Louis.

A drama thriller based on the novel by Jonathan Safran Foer, the film also stars Tom Hanks, James Gandolfini and John Goodman..

It follows the heartbreaking story of a nine-year-old amateur inventor who searches New York for the lock that matches a mysterious key left by his father after he was killed in the September 11th attacks.

Directed by British movie maestro Stephen Daldry, the man behind the lens for Billy Elliot, it's Sandra's first movie since The Blind Side, for which she won the Best Actress Academy Award and comes out next year.
