Isn't she sweet! Nicole Richie takes daughter Harlow for ice cream treat on fun day out

Sweet treat: Nicole Richie took her three-year-old daughter Harlow for ice cream in West Hollywood yesterday


If Nicole Richie had been told five years ago that she would be spending her days looking after two children and going for play dates she probably would have laughed.

But the former wild child turned doting mother continues to show how effortlessly she has taken to being a parent and spent a fun day out with her three-year-old daughter Harlow yesterday.

The duo stopped at a West Hollywood ice cream store to pick up a sweet treat which the little girl relished.

Girl time: The 29-year-old mother of two was joined by a friend of hers for the afternoon out


Nicole, 29, looked summer chic in a mini floral dress which she paired with a sleeveless denim jacket and black wedge sandals.

Her mini me also wore a dress covered in flowers and daintily carried her cup of ice cream which she ate as she walked.

Inside the store Richie also tucked into a cup of ice cream and chatted with a friend who also came along for the outing.

Miss Independent: Harlow carried her ice cream by herself and walked while tucking in as they left the store


Missing were the two boys in her life - husband Joel Madden and one-year-old son Sparrow.

The reality star has turned fashion designer and her accessory line House Of Harlow, and clothing line Winter Kate have both proved a hit with consumers.

Nicole has also apparently been whipping her body into shape with celebrity fitness trainer Tracy Anderson.

Keeping fit: Nicole has seemingly amped up her exercise routine after false reports of her being pregnant surfaced last month


Earlier this year Nicole was forced to deny reports she was expecting her third child when she was seen leaving a gym near her Los Angeles home with something a slight bump under her workout T-shirt.

But Nicole slammed the report that she and rocker husband Joel Madden, 32, were expecting again, and said it was simply a change in her body shape.

She told celebrity website Gossip Cop: 'Contrary to recent speculation I am not pregnant.'
