Frock horror! Lindsay Lohan supports Kanye at his Paris Fashion Show (if only anything was supporting her...)

By Amelia Proud

If ever there was a match made in gossip column heaven, it's Lindsay Lohan and Kanye West... though sadly they are just good friends.

Still, together they are a maelstrom of controversy, terrible judgement and frequently awful style choices.

So it's both apt - and very funny - that the Lindsay should show up to support the hip hop star at his first fashion show in Paris today.

Sack the stylist: Lindsay Lohan attended the DW by Kanye West show at Lycee Henri IV today, and she's looked better

Not known for her sartorial acumen, Lindsay can look incredible but frequently gets it wrong.

Today was one of those days, as while her tousled hair and 60s' inspired make up looked lovely, Lindsay's dress was a disaster.

The pale ecru drained the actress and model's porcelain skin, and the creased fabric made her look scruffy and not stylish.

But the worst aspect of the frock was the lack of support offered to the blonde's cleavage, a bra would've improved the look beyond measure.

Smiling: Lindsay seemed perky but her cleavage was anything but in this horrendous number

Lack of support: The style of this gown was a no no for someone with Lindsay's figure

The often troubled headline-hogger was also without the support of rumoured beau Philipp Plein, 33 , but she was sporting a new ring on her left hand.

While it wasn't gracing her engagement finger, bands on this hand often signify a promise or commitment.

West made his fashion show debut with this KW by Kanye West Ready to Wear Spring/Summer 2012 show.

The College Dropout showed off his new line at the Lycee Henri IV venue, with Lindsay and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Ciara and Jared Leto in attendance.

The usually confident West told reporters following the catwalk display, 'I'm so scared, I'm so nervous.'

Look of concern: But Lindsay had no need to fear, Kanye's show was well-received

Her future's so bright, she gotta wear shades: Lindsay kept her Jackie O sunglasses on, even indoors

Nervous: Kanye and Ciara at the show

He continued: 'The biggest conversation I hope I can end tonight is whole 'celebrity designer' thing. That's the biggest hurdle when you want to get amazing people to work for you.'

Lindsay needs to work harder on her personal style, as fashion is a more lucrative sphere for her than acting these days.

It's all down to Plein, who is a German designer and the man who appointed his love interest as his company spokesmodel.

The pair have been seen enjoying each other's company in recent days after meeting at Milan Fashion Week.

Plein described Lohan as 'authentic, talented and beautiful' at a press conference, after announcing she would be the face of his 2012 fashion line.

Not your colour, Lindsay: Lohan eyes the neutral shades, but should stick to red, black and jewel hues

So proud: Lindsay smiles as she realises that her friend's show is a success

Double trouble: The Olsen sisters were also in attendance to see Kanye's wares

Fashionistas: Sky Ferreira and Jared Leto also rolled up to celebrate the musician becoming designer

He also shared a kiss with the actress after they had a casual dinner in Milan earlier in the week.

According to Fox 411, Lohan and Plein are 'hooking up,' with one source telling the showbiz site: 'There's a lot of chemistry there.'

However, a representative for the actress denied the pair were dating, while a spokesman for Plein had no comment.

The website also reports that Lohan will make in the region of half a million dollars for her new modelling gig and associated appearances.

'It took two months of various negotiations because people were hesitant to hire her,' said a source close to the deal.

'But Plein is really happy with Lindsay; she loves the clothes and is working really hard and doing a great job.'

Lohan took over from Mischa Barton as the face of Plein's new collection and admitted that the collaboration came about 'spontaneously.'

She said: 'Something important to know about this collection is that its expressing something a little bit more edgy.'

She later added: 'Maybe people’s perceptions of me have been kind of taken out of context just from what you see and read.'

Close: Lindsay with Plein in Milan last week
