Little learner: Sarah Jessica Parker's daughter Marion carried a file folder and papers home from day care today in New York City

From the looks of things, Sarah Jessica Parker's daughter Marion is eager to get on with her education.

The adorable two-year-old toted a file folder and papers today in Manhattan as her mother carried her home from day care.

Dressed in a black leggings, a little blue sweater, blue shoes and a turquoise flowered clip in her hair, Marion eagerly held onto the papers and appeared focused on the task at hand.

Sarah was dressed down for the outing, looking casual and comfortable.

The mother-of-three wore a pair of light blue jeans paired with a loose fitting tan coloured top and flat shoes, as she carried her daughter.

A nanny, who is often photographed with the Sex and the City star brought the other twin, Tabitha, along.

Tabitha looked just as adorable in a pink sweater, a striped blue and white shirt and a pink flower carefully clipped into her hair.

Sarah, who has often spoken of how different her two girls are, recently explained to Jonathan Ross the contrasts between the toddlers.

'They are spiritually, politically, physically, emotionally, ideologically... they are very, very, very different in every day,' she explained.

Doting mother: Sarah savours spending time with her two girls

'I mean they don't even looked related. When we go outside, people think they are children that have made a play-date.'

She told the talk show host that one of her girls, Tabitha, looks more like her, and Marion resembles her husband Matthew Broderick more.

The couple's twins were born by surrogate mother Michelle Ross in an Ohio hospital in June 2009.
