Slimline: The famously voluptuous Scarlett Johansson looks skinnier on the cover of Interview magazine's December edition in sexy

It's amazing to think that Scarlett Johansson only turned 27 yesterday, such is the scope of her achievement and iconic imagery at such a tender age.

To celebrate the birthday, our chameleonic bombshell has appeared in yet another jaw-droppingly sexy image but this time, she's unleashed her dark side.

Scarlett can be seen on the December issue of Interview magazine with slicked back chestnut locks, smoky eyes and clothed in an ultra revealing cut-out playsuit.

It's vintage in style, with embellished pins tantalisingly holding brace-like straps in place to prevent the outfit from becoming a two-piece underwear set.

It's a striking image, and the beauty, who has been linked to Kate Moss's ex Jefferson Hack, 40 , looks ready to for business with in the cool ensemble.

But something is amiss, the starlet's trademark voluptuous curves seem to have been slimmed away to create a more boyish silhouette than Scarlett normally displays.

The actress has been hard at work with physical stunts on the set of multi-hero action flick, The Avengers, so perhaps that's why her body looks more athletic.

In the interview that accompanies the image, Scarlett is keen to talk about giving something back to the world .

The actress has teamed up with Neff to create a beanie hat for Neff Hope, a project to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.

Johansson explained: 'I helped create this Neff Beanie with the hope that every purchase might make a cancer patient feel a bit more comfortable during his/her treatments and look cool and be cozy all the while.

The beanies are eco friendly too, so they’re as nice to the earth as they are to the person wearing them.'

And despite possessing the kind of ravishing good looks that demand to be in front of a camera, Scarlett is looking forward to her first directorial offering.

According to Entertainment Weekly, she will take on an adaptation of the 1940s novel Summer Crossing by Truman Capote, which tells the story of a 17-year-old debutante who decides to ditch her high-class family's trip to France over the summer and instead falls in love with a Jewish parking attendant whom she later marries, leaving her stuck with the culture divide between her family and his.

But never fear, Scarlett will soon be seen opposite Matt Damon in We Bought a Zoo and the highly anticipated Avengers alongside Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, and Robert Downey Jr.
