Champion skiier Lindsey Vonn has attempted to scotch rumours of a romance with NFL star Tim Tebow.
The 27-year-old, who has recently split from her husband Thomas Vonn, insisted she is not currently in a relationship while in New York yesterday for an appearance on the David Letterman show.
But she admitted she's open to the idea of a romance with the American football quarterback.
'I'm single, totally single,' she told TMZ, adding that she met him at the ESPY Awards in July.
'I'm not opposed to dating him,' she admitted. 'But I'm definitely not dating him.'
Lindsey later managed to avoid the topic of Tebow during her interview with Letterman.
Instead he shared an in-depth discussion on the finer points of downhill skiing, despite the comic being famous for his acerbic style.
Vonn had just flown from another continent just to appear on CBS' Late Show.
At the start of a surprisingly tame interview David, 64, said: 'I'm told you flew in from Germany just to be here today. Thank you very much.'

Whatever the reason for the chat show hunk's reluctance to broach the subject of the Denver Broncos quarterback, it is still surprising given her recent public display of affection for the athlete.
She indulged in a spot 'Tebowing' by dropping to a knee with her skis in her hand and taking up a prayer pose after winning her first World Cup event in the US earlier this month.

Her victory was all the sweeter as the event was held at the Birds of Prey course in her home state.
