By Laura Schreffler

Worse for the wear: Britney Spears leaves The Sugar Factory in Las Vegas looking worse for the wear last night

She called it one of the most magical nights of her life.
Which is why Britney Spears appears to have celebrated as much as she could.

The 30-year-old singer reveled in the news of her engagement to boyfriend Jason Trawick at his 40th birthday last night in Las Vegas.

She didn't even try to hide her glee as she and her new fiance partied into the wee hours.

However hours later, she emerged from the Chateau Nightclub & Gardens looking a little bit worse for wear.

Earlier in the night she looked stunning and smooth in her flesh toned Herve Leger bandage dress with flawless makeup and perfect hair.

But later she appeared to need a little helping hand as she left the Sugar Factory American Brasserie,

Both her agent husband-to-be and a male friend held her hand at separate times as they exited the Sin City establishments.

Earlier in the evening, she wrote: 'Still glowing! About to jump on a plane to Planet Hollywood in Vegas. Throwing a Bday Party for Jason at Chateau Night Club. So fun. Xxoo.'

Fun was definitely had as Britney showed off her Neil Lane sparkler to all and sundry at the shindig.

The couple was toasted by their friends and family before their dinner at the Brasserie, where they shared a variety of pizzas, including the restaurant's popular chocolate pizza.

For dessert they dipped treats like cupcakes and gumdrops in a chocolate fountain.
After their meal, the newly engaged twosome walked through the Sugar Factory, where they picked out treats and presents for Britney's two sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston.

Britney's back and fit to burst as she wows Las Vegas in a very tight bodysuit for her first live performance in over a year

By Georgina Littlejohn

Britney's back: Miss Spears took to the stage at the Rain nightclub inside the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas last night as she performed songs from her new album Femme Fatale

She's been out of the pop limelight playing the doting mother and living the homebody lifestyle for the past year.

But you can't keep a good pop star down for long - as Britney Spears proved last night.

The singer took to the stage in Las Vegas last night for her first live performance since the end of her The Circus Starring Britney Spears tour in November 2009.

And if she had any apprehension about being somewhat rusty upon returning to the stage, she certainly didn't show it as she sent her fans into a frenzy.

Britney, 29, was back to her pop star finest as she strutted onto the stage in a sexy black leather bodysuit, which showed off her curvaceous figure.

It's Britney, b****: The songstress was back on form as she strutted and sashayed up and down and across the stage

She was literally bursting out of the outfit as she treated her screaming audience to a selection of songs from her upcoming new album Femme Fatale, which is released next Tuesday.

The mini concert started with a montage of her best video moments, which hyped up the crowd, before she came on stage and launched into her new single, Hold It Against Me, flanked by army fatigue-clad dancers.

On top of the world: Britney sang to her fans on top of a podium at the back of the stage

She's a Slave 4 U: Britney's fans - who had been eagerly awaiting this comeback performance - screamed and sang along as their pop princess gave them what they wanted

She then gave her fan a debut performance of the will.i.am produced track Big Fat Bass, which was remixed to included some of her older hits including Slave 4 U and Gimme More.

Britney, who was thoroughly enjoying being under the spotlight again, smiled and sashayed for her fans, as she sang her second single from the album, Till The World Ends.

Toward the end of the show, Britney was snapped gyrating and writing around on large speakers that dotted the stage.

At one point she stood on top of a podium and then made a quick costume change into a silver sparkling bodysuit as neon letters spelling out the name of her new album, flashed above her head.

It takes two: Britney is helped off her chair and held up by her dancers as she launches into a dance routine

There was some suggestion that Miss Spears lip-synced along to three of her songs, but the 700-strong crowd didn't appear to notice or care.

The show was being taped for MTV for a special for the music channel which will be aired next week.

Feel the noise: Britney sits atop some big speakers as she dons a PVC bodysuit and police officer-style hat

It also turned out to be a surprise for her fans who had been expecting her to make her live comeback in San Francisco tomorrow night.

The Las Vegas gig was supposed to be a secret, but after rumours began to circulate, Britney took to her Twitter page on Friday to announce: 'Looks like my little secret isn't a secret anymore... You're all invited. Be there or be square b****!'
