But Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson put on an affectionate display in front of the cameras today.

The chemistry between the couple was on show for all to see as they took part in the hand and foot prints ceremony at Graumans Theatre earlier yesterday.

The pair were joined by their Twilight co-star Taylor Lautner, but the couple only had eyes for each other.

Kristen, 21, was seen placing her hand on her boyfriend’s thigh, an intimate gesture rarely seen from the publicity-shy couple.

The actress was dressed in a super short nude dress with black piping and beaded detail taken from the Marios Schwab Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

While the frock showed off her trim legs it boasted a modest high neckline, suitable for the event.

The actor was dressed in a pair of dark jeans and a black shirt, taking a more casual approach to the ceremony than his co-stars.

The trio return to screens later this month in the highly-anticipated latest instalment in the Twilight Saga.

The film's director, Bill Condon, recently told Celebuzz why the film's much anticipated sex scene didn't feel like, well, a Twilight series sort of scene.

'There are MPAA guidelines on thrusting intercourse,' Condon explained of the original scene shot for the PG-13 rated film. [Kristen] got very into it.'

The film is meant for teens, which is why the director was overly cautious as to how he filmed it.

'[The scene] was so much more about romance than it was about hot-and-heavy action,' he told MTV.com, adding that taking out the bit that made it R-rated was a 'very simple adjustment to make'.

But Twilight star Kristen Stewart, 21, was spotted on her way to a secret rendezvous with her on and off-screen boyfriend Robert Pattinson at his West London apartment yesterday.

And while she might have been thrilled to see her beau, the brunette star did however look exhausted as she entered the building around lunchtime.

With no make-up on her complexion and her long dark locks dishevelled, she dressed in an over-sized baggy charcoal sweater.

Meanwhile her man was seen arriving at the abode two days earlier in the thick of the London night fog.

Meanwhile Kristen has been busy in the UK filming Snow White And The Huntsman.

Kristen and Robert will however promote the film together in the U.S, where they will walk the red-carpet together this month.

Describing the experience in an interview with Glamour magazine, Kristen said: 'It was so weird, it didn't even feel like we were doing a Twilight film. I was like, 'Bella! What are you doing? Wow! What is happening here?!'

'It was very surreal. We [originally] got rated R. They re-cut it,' she revealed.

It was clearly something the pair had looked forward to for some time, as Kristen told Access Hollywood last year: 'It doesn't get more action-packed… [But] they definitely get more physical. Well, they get married.'

But as the pivotal day grew closer, excitement gave way to nerves as Kirsten and her beau started to feel the pressure to look their best.

'Usually we all make fun of Taylor for working out so often, and then suddenly me and Rob were like 'S***' and were running around the block while Taylor laughed at us,' Kristen told Glamour.

The actress wore a tailored blue Givenchy dress that showed off her curves.

The frock nipped in and flared out at the waist, giving the slim star the illusion of a full hourglass figure.

Ashley definitely knows a thing or two about fashion, given that she is the new face of DKNY and DKNY Jeans' spring 2012 ad campaigns.

Black stiletto sandals and a necklace that looked suspiciously like a Twilight talisman completed her look.

He looked gorgeous and dapper in a slim-fitting charcoal Dolce&Gabbana suit over a striped shirt, though in typical sloppy Pattinson fashion, his shoelaces were untied on the red carpet.

Of her on-screen brother's bumbling interview style, the brunette beauty recently joked to Allure magazine: 'Oh, Rob. He’s very endearing, but you’ve seen his interviews. He’s like, Ah, I don’t know… Oh, God.'

However, Rob seemed anything but awkward as he mugged for cameras and took photographs with fans gathered at the Cinema Gaumont Capucine.

The fourth film in the series is set to open in both the USA and the UK on November 18.

'My boyfriend is English': Kristen Stewart FINALLY opens up about her 'pretty obvious' relationship with Robert Pattinson

There have been plenty of 'no comments', hints here and there, and of course numerous paparazzi photographs of stolen kisses, holding hands and romantic rendezvous around the globe.

But for the first time, Kristen Stewart has admitted frankly to her relationship with co-star Robert Pattinson.

Despite the rest of the world accepting it as fact well over a year ago, the stars of Twilight have remained as tight-lipped as possible on the subject, often laughing and joking their way out of answering questions during interviews.

And it was only an off-the-cuff comment overheard by a journalist that the 21-year-old even begrudgingly discussed her boyfriend.

The actress remarks during her cover photoshoot that she is hoping to explore the UK more during her time here for filming of Snow White and the Hunstman, 'because my boyfriend is English.'

When the writer comments on the remark the following day during their interview, the famously coy star replied, 'I never would have said that if I knew you were interviewing me.'

But when it is pointed out that all their fans know about the long-term relationship by now, as her goings-on are so easily monitored in the press, Kristen offers an unexpectedly frank reply.

'Yeah, I know it is,' she tells the magazine. 'So much of my life is so easily googled. I mean, it’s like, come on guys, it’s so obvious!

'I don’t think you realise what a big deal it is for people. Well, it is a big deal. They would be "Oh. My. God". There would also be still a 50/50 split. Some people would still be, "See, told you they’re not together.”

She continues: 'I don’t worry about it at all. It’s just one of those things. I’m selfish. I’m like, "That’s mine!" And I like to keep whatever is mine remaining that way. It’s a funny little game to play and it’s a slippery slope. I always say to myself I’m never going to give anything away because there’s never any point or benefit for me.'

Despite previously (and controversially) comparing living her life in front of the paparazzi to being raped, Kristen says: 'It really is not a nightmare, it’s just one of those things. I guarantee whenever I get married or have a baby, everyone is going to want to know my kid’s name and I’m not going to say it for ages. That’s just the way I want to do it. It’ll come out but it won’t have come from me. They’re going to be really pissed off that I won’t say it and I’m just going to say, "No!"

'I also have that desire to blurt stuff out, but I’ve learned I can’t do that. Not when you realise the whole world is listening. That’s why perhaps I look so
uncomfortable in interviews at times. I mean, we’ve talked about hiding things and I’ve had to get much more adept at that, sadly. But I’m glad I’m not one of those actresses who is just so ready to open up for everyone.'

Along with letting her guard down - ever so slightly - regarding her relationship, Kristen has also showed a very different side to herself in the GQ photoshoot.

The actress channels the Hollywood of old in the retro pictures which evoke a bygone era.

Channeling the likes of Kathryn Hepburn and Jane Seymour, the dark-haired beauty appears perfectly suited to the retro look.

The swimwear again appears to have been snatched from a bygone era, Kristen's porcelain skin and dark styled locks matching her poolside outfit.

On the front cover too, she reclines on a sun lounger in the new pictures which were taken by photographer Norman Jean Roy.

Her glamorous makeover was a departure from the star's typical look, which is a lot more casual and 'tomboyish'.

In fact, during her interview with the men's magazine Kristen herself admitted that she'd undergone quite a transformation for the shoot.

She said: 'I looked like a boy for a long time. Now I feel like a woman.'

Miss Stewart recently revealed that she was not initially attracted to one of her new roles, as Snow White, but became interested after realising the new version was a very different take on the classic character.

'She truly does not let her heart cloud her mind,' the Twilight actress told Entertainment Weekly earlier this summer. 'Also I get to have a sword and stuff, and really cool weapons.

'This girl has the amazing ability to channel fear, things that people are typically afraid to do, into this really focused, really charged, driving energy,' she added.

The film - the first in a planned trilogy - is slated to be released in cinemas next year.

Stewart also appears as MaryLou in the adaptation of Jack Kerouac film On the Road, and stars in penultimate Twilight instalment Breaking Dawn, which will be released in November.

The pair talked candidly to Entertainment Weekly about the much hyped honeymoon sex scene which takes place in the upcoming next instalment of the Twilight Saga - Breaking Dawn.

The fairly graphic scene contains shots of Edward Cullen, played by Robert, 25, ripping through pillows with his fangs.

'I wanted to have it as a line so much,' Robert told EW.

'I bit through all the pillows. Every. Single. One. And then he’d start crying.'
'By the way, that’s what he should be ashamed of in the morning.

'All those beautiful pillows! Egyptian cotton! [Laughs] I ruined this bed!' the actor joked.

Kristen, however, was less enthusiastic about shooting the wedding scenes, saying: 'It’s a trip to watch the wedding scenes especially.'

'It was so volatile and emotional - I was being such a crazy person.'

The next instalment is set to be the biggest yet, however both actors are already on production in new films.

But with filming on the hit franchise complete and just two films left to promote, the actors appear to be relaxing their guard, and at Comic-Con today they happily cuddled in front of cameras.

The cast were asked by a reporter about each of their 'nerdy' traits. Robert replied that Kristen 'only watches the cooking channel.'

'Especially onset,' he added, 'she has a TV in the makeup trailer- it’s her only diva-ish behaviour. Having the cooking channel on all the time in every room.'

Kristen revealed there was 'Secret-Service-style crazy security' during filming of the wedding scene, with all crew and cast banned from bringing their phones on set.

But many fans may be shocked to see what Robert Pattinson has done to his locks lately.

The 25-year-old Twilight actor emerged with a new short haircut in Toronto, Canada, this morning.

But the new style leaves nothing to be desired.

The sheared look has left Robert with patchy bald spots all over his famous head.

The effect appears as though he either attempted the cut on a night out with the boys or god forbid, balding at a very young age.

But fans can find solace that the cut is all in the name of art.

In his new movie Cosopolis, Robert plays billionaire Eric Packer, who spends the entire film attempting to cross Manhattan in his luxurious limo in order to get a haircut.

And just last week he was seen with a preppy crew cut, saturated with cream after copping a pie in the face in another scene.

Robert has been the subject of huge publicity for his original larger than life bouffant hair style, once admitting that he rarely washed it.

When asked if it was true that he once said he hadn't washed his hair for six weeks, the actor once told Extra: 'Probably. I don't know. I don't really see the point in washing your hair.'

The star also revealed he doesn't keep his apartment very tidy either.

'If you don't care if your hair's clean or not then why would you wash it?' he added. 'It's like, I don't clean my apartment because I don't care.

The on-screen lovers were celebrating the Spanish premiere of Water For Elephants but as they stood arm in arm together on the red carpet, R-Patz couldn't crack a smile.

Pattinson held Reese around the small of her back but their affection looked more awkward than anything else.

After having promoted the film in Paris the day before in a little red dress, Reese slipped on a knee-length black strapless LBD and matching heels for last night’s viewing.
