If it ain't broke! Julianne Hough dons yet ANOTHER backless dress for People's Choice Awards

By Sarah Bull

If it ain't broke: Julianne Hough last night donned another backless dress for the People's Choice Awards

She's got a figure which would make even the most toned woman jealous, thanks to her years of dancing training.

So it's little wonder Julianne Hough chose an outfit for last night's People's Choice Awards which would show off her toned physique as much as possible.

And while the 23-year-old actress stuck to her tried-and-tested formula of a backless outfit, Julianne pushed the boundaries even further in her silver outfit, which showed off her entire back with it's incredibly daring cut.

Julianne teamed the silver dress with a pair of strappy silver sandals and left her blonde hair loose and curled around her shoulders as she posed for photographers at the event.

As well as attending the ceremony, the pretty actress, the sister of fellow dancer Derek Hough, presented a prize alongside Glee star Cory Monteith.

The duo presented the award for Favourite Movie Star Under 25 to Kick Ass actress Chloe Moretz, who looked stunning in a grown-up green dress.

Slender: Julianne teamed the long-sleeved dress with a pair of silver strappy sandals

While Julianne first shot to fame as one of the professional dancers on Dancing With The Stars, she has been furthering her acting career in recent years with roles in movies such as Footloose and the upcoming Rock Of Ages alongside Russell Brand and Tom Cruise.

Julianne plays Sherrie in the film, a small town girl hoping to make it as a singer by moving to New York.

However, things don't quite go to plan, and Sherrie ends up working as a stripper to make ends meet.

Award presenters: Julianne also took to the stage with Glee's Cory Monteith to present the award for the Favourite Movie Star Under 25

Winner: Kick Ass actress Chloe Moretz was named the winner of the prestigious prize

Talking about starring in the film, which is a big-screen remake of the hit stage musical, Julianne said in a recent interview: 'I’ve been really lucky. I know this does not happen every day, so I definitely don’t take it for granted. I did my first film with Cher, and then Footloose, and then I got to do a film with Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Paul Giamatti. It’s pretty incredible.

'And, I almost didn’t do it because I was like, "I don’t know if I want to do another musical. I want to branch out." But then, I found out they were all doing it and I was like, "Okay, maybe I should do one more!" They all are seasoned actors, and they all changed a little bit to play these roles.'

As well as Rock Of Ages, Julianne is also working on a project with Juno writer Diablo Cody, and said she has big plans for the future.

She said: 'I’ve got a lot of momentum with the acting right now, and I’m focusing on that. I’m doing another film with Diablo Cody, coming up, so I’m going to focus on that. And, I have a couple other things in the works.'

Tried and tested: Julianne is no stranger to wearing backless dresses, having sported them at various events over the years

By Mike Larkin

Glam couple: Miley Cyrus looked pleased as punch as she posed with her hunky actor boyfriend Liam Hemsworth

It seems like only yesterday Miley Cyrus was running around as Disney pop idol Hannah Montana.

Sunkissed: Miley's cream dress highlighted her deep golden tan as she posed for photographers

Kiss bassist Gene Simmons brought some rock and roll credibility to the event by attending with wife Shannon Tweed, though he scored a fashion own goal by donning an hideous suede suit.

She'll cast a spell on you! Madonna wears witch lace cloak for W.E. London premiere (but still finds time to flaunt her muscly arm)

By Nadia Mendoza

Still flaunting the muscles: Director Madonna attends the W.E. UK film premiere at the Odeon in Kensington

It seems Madonna is really milking this directing malarky.

Despite having already premiered her W.E. film at the 55th BFI London Film Festival in Leicester Square last October, she relished another red carpet event tonight at the Odeon in Kensington.

The Ray Of Light singer channelled her inner goth girl with an all-black ensemble, opting for a delicate lace cloak, heavy velvet gown - and of course, a vest strap to show off her muscly arm.

While choosing one colour may seem a little 'safe', Madonna spiced up the Jean Paul Gaultier frock and Dolce & Gabbana cape with red fingerless gloves and lashings of bright lipstick.

Her trademark blonde locks hung loosely by her side as the Queen of Pop greeted her adoring fans.

She played the Mother Hen to her stars Andrea Riseborough, James D'Arcy, Richard Coyle and Natalie Dormer; putting her arms around them to pose as own daughter Lourdes was absent.

Greeting the crowd: Madonna appeared to show her age a little as she photographed from her profile

Lady of the night: Madonna opted for an all-black ensemble, with red details

The film, which has so far received relatively bad reviews, follows a two-tiered romantic drama focusing on the affair between King Edward VIII and American divorcée Wallis Simpson; alongside a contemporary romance between a married woman and a Russian security guard.

It is Madonna's second venture as a director, with her first being in 2008, for Filth And Wisdom.

As the global star greeted her fans to sign autographs, she was still being preened to within an inch of her life by manager Guy Oseary who was clutching a brush and combing her hair as she spoke.

Still preening: Manager Guy Oseary continued to brush Madonna's hair as she signed autographs

While her leading men and ladies may not be so well known this side of the Atlantic, they are fast becoming household names.

Andrea, 30, has starred in Never Let Me Go alongside Carey Mulligan and new Spider-Man actor Andrew Garfield, while British beauty Natalie, 29, starred as Anne Boleyn in The Tudors.

Flying the flag for the boys is D'Arcy, 36, who appeared in Secret Diary Of A Call Girl with Billie Piper and 39-year-old Richard Coyle who starred with Jake Gyllenhaal in Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time.

The whole gang: Madonna poses with Andrea Riseborough, James D'Arcy, Richard Coyle and Natalie Dormer

Relishing the limelight: Natalie, Andrea and James are relatively unknown on UK shores

Mother instinct: While Lourdes was nowhere to be seen, Madonna looked after her stars Andrea and Natalie

Speaking of the film, the mother-of-four said she is simply a hopeless romantic looking for a prince.

She said: 'If you’re a romantic like me everyone wants to be swept away by a knight in shining armour but we keep getting disappointed. If you have half a brain you know that doesn’t exist.'

Tribute to Jacko? Madonna wore fingerless gloves at the premiere and earlier at the photocall

Beauty queens: Model Amber Anderson, Emilia Fox and Claudia Winkleman put on their Sunday Best

Muscles like no other: Madonna showed off her impressive biceps; a reflection of her gym obsession

Abbie Cornish, who starred opposite Heath Ledger in Candy, plays leading lady Wally Winthrop.

However, the rising star missed out on the action and did not attend the red carpet event.

Other stars to flock to the West London location were model Amber Anderson, actress Emilia Rox and the minute but perfectly formed Claudia Winkleman.

A Royal affair: Crown Prince Pavlos with his wife Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece also got in on the action

Flying the flag for the men: John Hannah and Ronan Keating were suited and booted for the occasion

The former presenter of Strictly Come Dancing spin-off show It Takes Two was in attendance as husband Kris Thykier produced the film.

And despite being a woman who transcends time zones by continually reinventing herself; it seems Madonna still harbours a taste for Eighties fashion as she proved at a photocall earlier today.

Not such a hit with critics: James D'Arcy & Andrea Riseborough star as Edward and Wallis in W.E.

The Material Girl teamed an elegant curve-hugging navy dress with fingerless biker gloves earlier today - although of course they were emblazoned with large diamante Coco Chanel emblems.

She showed off her slender physique in the tailored frock at the London Studios, that daringly gaped at the cleavage to show a hint of black lace beneath.

Kitsch: Madonna shows off her Chanel gloves as she promotes W.E. ahead of her big London premiere

Hiding something? Madonna poses with hands behind her back at the W.E. photocall at the London Television Studios

Her hair was in a similar style to this evening's more glamorous affair, cascading loosely past her ears, and teamed with neutral make-up to emulate a just-going-about-my-daily-business look.

Madonna spiced up the outfit with fishnets and black patent peep-toe heels; together with several chunky accessories including a large silver bracelet and a watch.

To coincide with tonight's premiere, the Golden Globe-winner has also announced the title of her 12th studio album is MDNA and that she will be going on tour again.

Posing with the gang: Madonna puts her arms around James D'Arcy and Andrea Riseborough

During an interview with Graham Norton, she said: 'I just have to pay the rent. A girl has to make a living, but truthfully I do enjoy it. Touring is the most rewarding of all my jobs.'

The release of the new record has been tainted slightly by the leak of an early version of the first single, Gimme All Your Luvin' in November 2010, for which a Spanish man was arrested in December.

Referring to the incident, Madonna joked: 'It's soon (the release date). It depends how quickly people hack in to my server and leak it. Can people wait? It's terrible.'

New kid on the block: Emeli Sandé joins Madonna and the cast on the sofa

Fresh-faced Angelina Jolie draws a line under wrinkles at screening of In The Land Of Blood And Honey

By Daily Mail Reporter

She is the mother-of-six and has a busy Hollywood career, so it is not unusual for Angelina Jolie to look somewhat exhausted from time to time.

But over the last couple of nights - as the actress stepped out for two red-carpet occasions - she has looked remarkably refreshed.

Tonight the 36-year-old's complexion was particularly flawless with barely a line or wrinkle in sight as she attended a screening of her directorial debut In the Land of Blood and Honey at the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington.

SCROLL DOWN FOR VIDEO...

Flawless: Angelina Jolie looked remarkably refreshed as she arrived for a premiere of her directorial debut In The Land Of Blood And Honey at the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington this evening with Brad Pitt

Simply glowing, the raven-haired beauty was picture perfect as she arrived on the arm of long term partner Brad Pitt, wearing a full length grey cashmere coat to keep her toasty from the cold conditions.

Underneath it appeared that she was wearing a nude dress and she paired the look with some shimmering gold Christian Louboutin stilettos.

As always, the ever-so-stylish star accessorised the look with some simple yet chic jewellery consisting of a pair of large pearl earrings.

Understated: As always, the ever-so-stylish star accessorised the look with some simple yet chic jewellery consisting of a pair of pearl earrings

Fresh-faced: Her complexion was far more luminous than it was back in April this year when she attended a show at a theater in Los Angeles

Date night: After the event Angelina and Brad went out for dinner

Boyfriend Brad was still hobbling around on his walking stick, but of course looked dashing in a three-piece navy suit nonetheless.

He also wore a crisp white shirt, navy tie and shiny black shoes to polish off the look.

The chic couple were joined by stars of Angelina's directorial debut actors Zana Marjanovic and Goran Kostic.

Keeping toasty: Underneath it appeared that she was wearing a nude dress and she paired the look with some shimmering gold Christian Louboutin stilettos

The actress's conservative choice of attire was a far-cry different from her appearance at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards on Monday night.

The stunning star stole the spotlight away from Brad on the night he was actually nominated for an award.

The Oscar-winning actress wowed in a tight-fitting leather skirt which managed to make her look both slim and elegant.

Dashing duo: As always the pair were the epitome of a chic and sophisticated couple

She paired the ferocious piece with a simple white silk shirt, classic black heels and a chic black clutch.

Her only concessions to colour were the emeralds that shimmered at her throat and her ears.

The actress once again arrived hand-in-hand with Pitt.

His accessory of a cane is certainly far less glamorous than Angelina's gorgeous ensembles, though far more necessary.

Come here dear: Long-term boyfriend Brad was still hobbling around on his walking stick, but was helped by his doting partner

Brad is said to be recovering from a torn medial collateral ligament, an injury sustained after a fall on a ski slope last week.

The actor broke out the cane over the weekend at the 23rd Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala.

The actor told reporters he suffered an injury after falling over on a ski slope while holding onto one of the couple's twins.

Happy: Despite his handicap Brad was in high spirits throughout the night

He was honoured at the ceremony with the Desert Palm Achievement Award which noted his acting skills in Moneyball and The Tree of Life.

Perhaps winning another award at Monday night's ceremony will lessen the pain of his injury.

The actor appears to be on somewhat of a winning streak and last night scooped the Best Actor gong for his work in Moneyball and The Tree of Life.

Co-stars: The chic couple were joined by stars of Angelina's directorial debut actors Zana Marjanovic and Goran Kostic

Angelina's film in The Land of Blood and Honey revolves around a Muslim woman named Aija (Marjanovic)who falls in love with Serbian Daniijel (Kostic).

In the unlikely love story, which opened in American theatres last December, Daniijel inadvertently becomes Aija's jailer when the Bosnians are captured by the Serbs.

In a recent interview with USA Today, Angelina talked about her movie, which is set in 1990s war-torn Bosnia.

'I’ve always been drawn to war films,' she said. 'I did love directing. If I’m allowed, if I’m accepted, I will do it again. I am still very shy about it.'

Racy: The actress's conservative choice of attire was a far-cry different from her appearance at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards on Monday night when she slipped into a racy leather skirt

Directorial debut: Jolie directing In The Land Of Blood And Honey

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Angelina will stage her first-ever online video chat with fans on Thursday.

The actress has partnered with executives at Hearst Magazines to talk about In the Land of Blood & Honey and her career for 45 minutes, in a chat which will be broadcast across several of the company's websites.

Angelina said: 'This is my first online chat and I'm thrilled that Hearst is broadcasting this across so many of its websites to reach such a diverse audience as the film expands into more theatres.'
