TV presenter Nick Cannon has been rushed to hospital after suffering from kidney failure.

And despite wife Mariah Carey urging their fans to 'pray for Nick', the singer doesn't look too fearful about his health given her Twitter activity.

The mother-of-two, 41, bizarrely posted a photo of herself posing beside an ailing Nick, 31, in his hospital bed in Aspen, Colorado.

But the couple are clearly optimistic he will recover, with Mariah describing his kidney failure as 'mild'.

The Fantasy singer posted news of Nick's illness in the early hours of this morning.

She wrote: 'Please pray for Nick as he's fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure. #mybraveman.'

She then wrote a more detailed description of his medical drama on her official website.

'I'm not trying to make light of the situation': Mariah posted a statement on her official website about Nick's health


She wrote: 'This is us in the hospital - role reversal; Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are.

'We're trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful. They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C.

'We're doing OK but we're "straaaaaanded in Aspen". #DramaticDivaPlace (I know, we could be in a lot worse places) but the truth is as long as we're together, we're OK.

The couple have been spending the Christmas and New Year period in Aspen with their twins Moroccan and Monroe.

Nick's hospitalisation perhaps explains why the couple haven't been photographed out and about in Aspen since New Year's Eve.

Her marriage lasted for only 72 days and now she seems to have had a swift change of heart about her hairdo too.

The 31-year-old joined her mother Kris Jenner and her two younger sisters Kylie and Kendall on a night out in Los Angeles on Monday.

And yet again reality TV star Kim Kardashian proves that it is hard to keep up with her.

The four members of the reality TV clan dined at the Mexican restaurant, Casa Vega.

But the blunt fringe that Kim debuted at a New Year's Eve party in Las Vegas at the weekend was absent.

Instead the socialite pulled her dark brown hair back into a bun and the bangs that were so visible a few nights earlier were nowhere to be seen.

Kim has yet to comment on her changing style but it is possible that her fringe flirtation was only temporary.

Rather than committing to her new hairstyle she could have tried a 'clip-in bang.'

Fellow celebrities Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and Jessica Alba have all been spotted wearing one to a special event, then being seen without it shortly afterwards.

Kim stepped out with two of her sisters - not Kourtney and Khloe with whom she is usually seen around town with but her younger siblings, Kendall, 16, and Kylie, 14.

They were joined by their mother - and manager - Kris, 56.

The curvy star was dressed in black, wearing leggings, knee-high boots and a tailored jacket.

A beige, flowing scarf provided a touch of colour.

Her mother was also dressed modestly, wearing a three-quarter length black coat.

But the younger members of the Kardashian clan were far more daring with their fashion choices.

Kim has taken to her Twitter page to talk to her fans about welcoming in 2012.

Perhaps referencing her brief marriage to basketball player Kris Humphries, she wrote: 'Who else is soooo ready to let go of 2011 and have the best 2012 ever!!!'

She also said: 'Funny how people look 4 [sic] a fresh start in the New Year but the truth is its [sic] just an excuse!

'U [sic] can start fresh & set goals any day of the year.'

But despite boasting a slender frame, the Aerosmith frontman's shirtless display in Hawaii yesterday revealed certain things are starting to go on the slide.

The ageing rocker and Dude (Looks Like A Lady) singer stripped down to reveal his 'man boobs' - otherwise known as 'moobs'.


He wore nothing but a barely there pair of camouflage Speedos and some beaded necklaces and bracelets as he took a New Year's Day snorkelling excursion in Maui.

Tyler is on a Hawaiian holiday with fiancee Erin Brady, 38, who he recently proposed to after five years of dating.

The couple took part in a blessing ceremony on the island over the weekend.

Tyler has been spending a large amount of time in Hawaii and also took his other half on a romantic holiday there in November.

He proposed just a week ago, but Steven Tyler hasn't wasted any time in organising an event to seemingly make things 'official'.

The ageing rocker took part in an Hawaiian ceremony with his fiancée Erin Brady over the weekend as they continued to spend time together on the island.

Steven and his partner were pictured with a woman (thought to be Reverend Alalani) wearing a head dress and appeared to be receiving a pre-marriage blessing.


A message on the website of the company who looked after the couple confirmed that Tyler had indeed been involved in a blessing, though wouldn't expand any further.

The short statement on Kuhina's homepage simply read: 'Yes Reverend Alalani did do a blessings for Steven Tyler but she will not say details.'

And, though they would not expand any further, the company's admission that 'We specialize in simple to elegant Maui beach weddings and vow renewals with photography', was enough to reinforce any assumptions about the ceremony.

Of the ceremonies on offer, the most expensive (the Kuhina elegance wedding) includes conch shell blowing and a traditional Hawaiian chant (both upon request), a videographer, photography, a special charter for up to 20 people and lots more.

Considering that this is still a mere $5,000, pocket change for the multi-millionaire Aerosmith star, it's likely he could have taken the package.

The 63-year-old and his 38-year-old fiancée have been engaged since last week when Tyler proposed to her over the festive period.

After news of their engagement broke it was claimed that the American Idol judge's children, who include actress Liv, 34, and model sister Mia, 33 were 'furious' there were not made aware that their father had proposed until after the news was made public.

Erin said: 'I just said, 'Hey listen, if you play, I'm gonna play.' He didn't really like it when he was on the other side of that scenario.'

It appears Olivia Wilde had a wonderful time following a date with her latest squeeze Jason Sudekis yesterday.

For the Cowboys and Aliens star emerged from the Saturday Night Live favourite's New York abode today wearing the same outfit - a yellow polka dot dress and wool-lined jacket.

The Tron: Legacy star hid her eyes with sunglasses and wore a sheepish grin as she ventured out with the hunk in the Big Apple this morning.


The pair headed out to grab an early morning cup of coffee, with both wearing hats displaying hats showing off Jason's allegiance to his home state.

While Jason wore a University of Kansas Jayhawks sports team bobble hat, self-styled intellectual Olivia wore a baseball cap bearing Kansas City's initials.

The hats are significant, as they made their first public appearance together by attending one of the university basketball team's games last Thursday.

And they seem to have small wardrobes, as there the pair wore the same hats as during the game, except that time he wore the cap and she wore the wooly number.

As if that wasn’t enough the official KU Twitter account caught them on camera and tweeted a picture of the couple to the social networking site.

The actor and his girl were seen proudly supporting the home side with Olivia in a wooly hat while Jason stuck to a cap.

The pair were seen clapping and cheering the Kansas University team along as well as sharing a number of jokes.

Earlier this month Olivia was seen locking lips with another Jason, this time a Mr Bateman, on the set of upcoming film The Longest Week.

But it appears that the actress, who found fame as lesbian Alex Kelly on The OC, has been dating Sudeikis for a number of weeks.

At the start of December a source told Us Weekly magazine: 'She's come to the (SNL) studio at Rockefeller Center, and they've gone out to dinner after rehearsals.’

The 30-year-old TV star was in the closet, so to speak, of her New York hotel and decided to carry out the 'test' after Kris Humphries gets her thinking about her friend's sexual orientation.

While Kris sat there looking bored, Jonathan appeared to enjoy perusing all the scented products on offer, which Humphries finds odd.

Whatever the case, Jonathan was last week spotted in Miami soaking up the sun with a mystery brunette where they put on an affectionate display.

Despite reports saying that she has given birth, Beyoncé spent New Year's Eve enjoying dinner with her baby bump still intact.

The 30-year-old singer saw in 2012 by dining with her husband Jay Z at Buttermilk Channel in Brooklyn, New York.

Chances are the pair weren't at one of the city's hottest restaurants with a newborn baby - proving that the Single Ladies star is still heavily pregnant.


According to Radar Online, the famous couple enjoyed a strictly A-list menu, but it is not known if any of the luxury dishes were at the top of Beyoncé's cravings list.

Foodrepublic.com states that the food on the night was a 'tour de force from the talented chef Ryan Angulo.'

It included a rich foie gras terrine with pickled grapes, butter-poached lobster, duck meatloaf with more seared foie gras and a bittersweet chocolate and duck jus.

No doubt Beyoncé has a healthy appetite at the moment and was making the most of being able to eat what she wants.

And just because she's expecting, doesn't mean the singer is following the traditional maternity wear trends.

A source told People that Beyoncé had dressed up for the annual event: 'She looked amazing. She wore sky-high heels. It was really impressive for an enormously pregnant woman.

'She looked like she was about to give birth,' they added.

The internet rumour mill went into overdrive on December 30 with reports that Beyoncé had given birth to a baby girl.

The singer has understandably spent the past few months in the Big Apple as she approaches her due date

No doubt she has spent a lot of the festivities relaxing in the multi-million pound penthouse apartment which she shares with her rapper husband.

The 35-year-old actress was spotted on a beach in Hawaii with her two children, Ava, 12, and eight-year-old Deacon, showing off her enviable figure.

The family looked like they were enjoying the New Year as they had fun in the sea with some boogie boards.


Reese certainly looked relaxed as she ran into the sea wearing a halterneck swimming costume.

The Legally Blonde star was showing off her curves in the teal-coloured swimsuit - which she teamed with a pair of aviator sunglasses.

However, it took her quite some time to make a decision about venturing into the water as she stood with friends and watched on as the children had fun.

At one point Reese was seen laughing with a female companion as she wore a large black baseball cap.

Reese is probably enjoying some down time with her husband and children before she begins promoting her latest film, This Means War, which is scheduled to be released on February 17.
